I'M CANDACE!

HEY THERE,

I'm going to let you in on a little secret...

I don't like getting my picture taken... Sayyyy what?! It's true. I would much rather prefer the self-timer when no one is watching. I feel like I'm so awkward and basically overthink everything. But, I LOVE great pictures of my family. So I put aside my insecurities, find a great photographer who helps me feel comfortable, then it's 110% worth it. I love having photos of my family I can cherish forever!

Are you camera shy too? No worries! Been there, done that. That's where I come in. I'm here to help you feel COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT in front of the camera.

I LOVE my family! Trevor and I have been married for eight years and still haven't had an argument (hahaha, all jokes). He has a zest for life that is unmatched. He's a family guy and loves chasing his dreams and helping others do the same. Evelyn is 4 and such a joy. She's independent, but delightful. She has the best memory and says the cutest things. Talmage is 2 years old and he's a stud. I want to gobble him up every day, I love it. He's a happy camper, loves his sister, and is the most polite 2 year old.

We love being outside together, whether that is playing pickleball or hiking.

I love photography! (Obviously :)) I graduated from Weber State University with degree in Integrated Studies, which means I basically got to choose three minors to make my major. My minors were Child & Family Studies, Nutrition, and PHOTOGRAPHY. I think it’s so important to always be learning, so I’ve continued to invest in myself and perfect my craft since graduating!

I love running! Back in the day, I ran cross country and track at Weber State University. Always cheering on my Lady Wildcats! My hubby, Trevor, ran at Utah Valley University. (We met working together at a running store, cuuute!) I'm always trying to keep up with him. ;) Now days, my running includes a jogging stroller with cute babies in tow. Nothing beats early morning Saturday trail runs.

I love food! I'm a foodie, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I love making food, eating food, and learning about food. (Remember the minor in nutrition?)

My favorite food blog is Mel's Kitchen Cafe. Seriously, go check it out.

I'm currently obsessed with finding the best chocolate chip cookie recipe. So if you have any good ones, send them my way! :)

A leader. Not bossy ;)

I will never use another photographer ever again. We get our pictures from her every year and I always get compliments on them, followed by being asked who does them. She is great with our kids getting them to smile and laugh. She’s just amazing and I’m obsessed with her work!!! I gawk at her pictures all year until it’s time to redo them. 10/10 recommend Candace for your photography needs!!

Candace has taken my family’s pictures the last two years. I can not recommend her enough. She does such a good job. She makes everyone feel at ease and comfortable even those who don’t like being photographed (husband!). I have four young children and after family pictures am usually left wondering if any pictures will turn out because my kids are crazy. I am always blown away by how the pictures turn out. They are so good! She does a great job at capturing posed pictures as well as several candid family interaction photos as well. Definitely will continue to use her in the future and recommend her to anyone needing a photographer 😊
